The Landscape Institute Northern Ireland Branch will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 26h April 2011 at 5.45pm (with refreshments served from 5.30pm) in the University of Ulster, York Street Campus (this will be followed by an Olympic Games Legacy Event, see below).
We will be issuing formal documents in due course, however, in the meantime we would like to invite you the members to consider joining the incoming committee for the 2012/13 year. All positions on the branch are up for re-election on an annual basis. This year nominations are sought in particular for the positions of Honorary Chair and Secretary.
For your information/consideration we attach a nomination form and a descriptions of the key tasks/responsibilities for the various committee posts. If you are interested in joining and would like more information please email Eleanor (Secretary) or Emily (Chair) at firstname.lastname@example.org
We would ask that formal nominations be sent to email@example.com by Friday 6th April 2012.
PLEASE NOTE: the AGM will be followed by an Olympic Games Legacy Event coordinated by the Landscape Institute in partnership with the Olympic Development Authority. We hope all members will stay for this event, which is open to the public, and will start at 7pm. This will be similar in format to the LI Green Infrastructure event held by LI at the University of Ulster in May 2011. There will be 3 speakers (from ODA and LI), giving the client and project context of the London 2012 Olympic legacy Management and Maintenance plan, specifically relating to Green Infrastructure, Sustainability and Biodiversity (http://learninglegacy.london2012.com/). The presentations will be followed by refreshments during discussion.
